José María Moreno Rodrigo

Born in Granada, on the 13th of February 1971. In 1987 he joined his father's workshop,
helping him with the sculpture and gold/silver work. He has a degree in “Alonso Cano” Fine Arts,
University of Granada with the speciality of Sculpture.

He has specialized in gold/silver work, and he is currently Miguel Moreno's best collaborator for these works.
Among other Works, he has collaborated in the Santísimo Corpus Christi Throne at the Cathedral of Granada, La corona de la Virgen de las Angustias de Santa María de la Alhambra, Sagrarios, Vasos Sagrados, etc.

Environmentally conscious, he has created a collection of sculptures inspired by the Iberian fauna; a collection of ammonites and mushrooms for the Parque de la Subbética in Córdoba; and a reproduction of the Spanish river crab. Nowadays, he is working in a collection of large scale insect reproductions.

The 2 metre rooster ordered by Grupo Arenas Company, and an 2.5 metre ammonite created for the Geoparque de la Subbética in Córdoba, both made with the forge and welded sheets of metal technique stand out from among his public work .
